You are invited to the first event of our campaign titled “Ōtautahi Needs Climate Justice”: a submission party and potluck!


🌻We will be gathering around delicious kai next Friday, March 22nd from 6-8pm at the WEA (59 Gloucester Street in the city centre).


🌷This event will primarily focus on inviting people to have a kōrero about the future of our city and how we can ensure it is not only liveable, but just and uplifts those that have been and will continue to be affected by the impacts of climate change. We will write submissions together to show the council that climate justice must be at the forefront of the document that will guide its activities for (at least) the next 10 years.


🪻Invite your friends and bring a device to write a submission as well as a plate of kai to share if you’d like! The kitchen at WEA has some plates and utensils we can use, but feel free to bring your own. We will provide plant-based snacks and food and encourage those that can to do the same!


🌸Council staff will be present to assist with the submission process. This event is also co-hosted by 350.
